Public Relations
The art of public relations should be a positive experience for the three parties involved - the client, the news media and the public.
At its worst, public relations can be viewed as “spin” or the ability to lie with a straight face. Without a doubt, these sorts of practitioners exist as do quack doctors, crooked cops and shyster business people.
Fortunately most of these shady characters eventually get their due. Lying and misrepresentation is unethical along with being a poor business strategy.
My public relations practice is based on assessing the client's needs and meeting them. The client needs to have their message broadcast and received. The journalist needs a good story. And the public has a need to be informed.
Whether consulting, acting as a spokesman or planning and executing publicity campaigns, I focus on clear and concise messaging for the maximum effect. In addition, I have experience in crisis communication.
My experience includes public relations for government, corporate and non-profit groups. I've also done feature film promotion.
